ugnay — privacy policy

effective july 8, 2026

ugnay is a conversation-card app made by an independent developer. this page explains exactly what data the app handles and why. the short version: we store what's needed to run your account, we never sell your data, and you can erase everything yourself, in the app, at any time.

what we collect

• account: when you sign in with apple, we receive your name and email address (or apple's private relay address if you chose to hide your email), and we create a user id for your account.
• preferences and progress: your card-language setting, which packs you've unlocked, your credit balance, and your referral code and referral activity.
• feedback: if you send feedback, we receive whatever you type, the category you pick, the email you optionally include, and your app version.

ads

ads in ugnay are completely optional — they only play when you deliberately tap "watch an ad" to support development. ads are served by google admob. if you allow tracking when ios asks, admob may use your device's advertising identifier to show personalized ads; if you decline, you'll get non-personalized ads instead and everything still works. you can change this anytime in ios settings > privacy & security > tracking.

who we share data with

• google firebase stores your account data and runs our backend.
• google admob serves the optional ads described above.
• resend delivers feedback submissions to the developer's inbox.

that's the whole list. we do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else.

deleting your data

open the app > settings > delete account. this permanently erases your profile, unlocks, credits, referral history, and feedback, and revokes the app's connection to your apple id. there is no waiting period and nothing is kept.

children

ugnay is not directed at children under 13.

changes

if this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date.
